There are many medications used in avian medicine today.
When your bird is sick then a medication is prescribed.
When administered as directed for the correct length of time, your bird gets well.

First be sure your vet has instructed you in the proper way to administer the medication. Your bird won't be able to give you suggestions as to how he would most like to take it, so depend on your vet to guide you properly and don't be afraid to call back if difficulties in administering the medication occur at home.

Avian Birdfood Products give through these products a small list of products for medications used in birds but is not meant to replace veterinary care. Never give your bird medication prescribed for another animal or human.
